I kept hearing from our dearest customers that so many of my designs have a clear, almost iconic aesthetic. That there is always one piece that stands out and seems to represent the entire collection. That rang true to me because my creative process always starts with a spark of an idea, a kernel of a form, which blossoms into a collection.I decided to take that idea and do something we had never done before - to create dramatic, courageous, large-scale, limited-edition sculptures. The finishes would be in keeping with the importance of the pieces - gold plated, hand painted, highly polished. For those special ten designs we would make a limited edition. Only 300 of each in the world would ever be made, each one signed by me and numbered. And then we literally smash the mold!
